It’s time to prepare for 2025 and beyond.
And most importantly, it’s time to be consistent.
But I know you’ll throw a million excuses at me as to why you can’t be a consistent writer. Heck, I’ve subconsciously used these myself too. So let’s get these out of the way first before we get to the mindset tools you need to overcome them.
Common consistency excuses:
“I don’t have time to write.”
“I don’t believe I can write quality content.”
“My audience won’t like it.”
Let’s pour one out for the writers we’ve lost to those excuses.
For real. I feel like we’ve lost HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of potential writing geniuses to the venom of these excuses. It’s crazy.
After you’ve poured one out, please take a deep breath, and let’s head into 2025 with these 10 mindset tools to hone your consistency.

10 Essential Writing Consistency Mindset Tools For 2025:
Self-awareness of your audience—You need to be self-aware of your target audience, your core topics, and things that can separate you from the sea of other writers within your niche.
Confidence is who you are—People are attracted to people who write about something they’re passionate about—not bandwagoners who write about anything.
Anger at yourself—Be angry at yourself for your lack of consistency. It’s okay. That’s what kicked off my writing career the most. I needed that kick in the ass.
Discipline to do the boring things—Are you willing to do the boring stuff? That’s how consistency compounds over time. The boring things get done faster each time you train your brain to do them.
Attention to efficiency—Don’t put all of your eggs in different baskets. That’s how consistency is killed. That’s why I focus all of my time here on this platform. It’s my bread and butter—no time to write on any other platform. Focus on what yields you the most results.
Destruction of your self-limiting beliefs—I’m living proof of this. There are SOO many writers that were better than me when I first started. But they weren’t as consistent as me. So I got better results than them. I promise you anyone can do this. Don’t fall into the trap that you can’t like every other writer does.
Satisfaction with writing for a few minutes—I’ve done this before a million times. Heck, I might finish this post in 20 minutes. Who cares? As long as you get that writing habit in daily, you’ll excel. Again, the more you train your brain, the faster you get.
Test out your ideas with short-form content—Use the notes feature here to test out your ideas. If it pops off, turn it into a long-form piece of content. Or vice versa. Turn your long-form into short form. Resourcefulness is another huge part of consistency when you feel burnt out. This leads me to the next tool…
Burnout IS NOT real—I promise you it’s not. Your mind is playing tricks on you. Even if burnout was real, here’s the fun thing about it. You either become resourceful or you don’t. I’ve repurposed the same stories a million times but I approached them with a different angle. Burnout is just laziness to me now.
You can reach ULTRA consistency in 90 days or less—The final form of writing consistency (sorry about the Dragon Ball references lol) is writing to the point where it’s so easy and repeatable, that the time excuse doesn’t exist to you. It’s ingrained into your brain to the point where it’s like brushing your teeth. But you can’t get there if you don’t believe it’s possible. It’s not as time-consuming to work on your writing consistency as you think.
That’s it and that’s all, my friend.
So let’s rejoice and jump into 2025 with the mindset tools we’ve learned here today.
