Your Success is Right Around The Corner

A poem about believing in yourself.

It takes a mountain to have success,

It takes a woman to find the best dress,

Not one that prevents her from reaching her goals,

But one that weighs her down to the point where she can’t bear it no mo’,

Too much pressure and not enough self-esteem,

Never anything to make little girls have a fantastic dream,

A dream about their success,

A dream about their endless abilities,

That’s all it takes for them to rise indefinitely,

But you see, they’re taught to work hard, not smart,

They’re never given the chance to make it with heart,

They need to work smarter not harder,

I guess it’s the law of success,

It sucks, but it all depends on what we do next,

For our lives aren’t defined by one tough moment,

But how we respond to the moment,

And those responses can become something magical,

Something you never thought you could do in your life,

So never get so stressed out that you face your life in strife,

Because the sunrise is coming,

And when it comes, I’ll be right there with you…
