It really is a matter of prioritizing, basically making writing more important than anything else. I am a "pro" when it comes to procrastination. Mine is rooted in perfectionism. I recognize it now when it is happening, and basically force myself to sit and write. Thank you for this piece. It's very helpful to remind ourselves that everything we want is on the other side of procrastination. Love, Virg
I do realize that writing doesn’t have to be perfect, it just has to exist, so every word we typed in is a win against the pull of procrastination. It’s a habit of prioritizing progress over perfection, and that’s where creativity and growth thrive.
99% of writers fail within 3 months!? My 3 month anniversary was 4 days ago, so I made it to the 1%!
I'm still in the honeymoon period though, its still exciting, inspiring and the ideas just keep coming. I suffer from procrastination in all other areas of life but writing, at the moment at least, is not one of them.
These tips can be applied to much more than just writing though.
Congrats of your 3-month anniversary. Your excitement shows through you know? That's why your writings are so relatable, as if things are taking place right in front of my eyes.
Maybe you can extend that excitement to those things that you do procrastinate about.
Once we realize that truth, it's easier to take action.
It all starts with clarity! :)
Procrastination is the silent killer of creativity. As a writer, every delay chips away at your momentum.
So write!
Exactly Theron! If we are busy, we are not procrastinating, but if we are finding excuses to be busy, then that becomes a problem.
You took the words right out of my mouth Arica!💪❤️
Exactly Theron! Don’t let procrastination ruin your momentum!💪❤️

Thank you so much Mark! Congrats on making it to the 1%! Never stop!
That's the plan 🤞

I hope so, I only procrastinate on the boring things though so that stands to reason! Thanks Moon
Makes total sense of course, but maybe one day you could make that procrastination work for you.
I already do, I procrastinate by writing 🖊️ 😂 it could be worse, it could be computer games or netflix!
That could be a great headline or the name of a publication …. Procrastination by writing 😂
“Procrastination in Progress: Words before Work” 😂
Avoidance only delays your dreams
